Appeals for a "Forever Home" are Answered for Tammy, Highland mare

Less than a month ago Loraine Strachan from Aberdeen contacted Horses4Homes.
She was in desperate need for our help to rehome Tamarisk (Tammy) her elderly father’s Highland mare. Her father sadly has Alzheimers and her mother, now in her 70s, was struggling to continue to care for both her husband and the pony. A long term solution for Tammy was becoming more urgent. Loraine had tried advertising her locally but the homes which were coming forward were not suitable.
After speaking at length to Rebecca Evans, the Horses4Homes Rehoming Manager, Loraine was convinced the Horses4Homes rehoming facility could be exactly what they needed to efficiently find Tammy that all important “forever home”.
Rebecca made huge appeals in Scotland for potential new owners to come forward and within just 12 hours of Tammy being listed on the site her efforts were rewarded with 3 excellent applications.
Tammy has found a super new home in Aberdeen just a few miles away from her old owners. Loraine and her parents are thrilled with the home but are naturally very sad to see Tammy leave.
Loraine had this following statement to say about her experience of using Horses4Homes, We are so pleased to have found a forever home for our beloved horse Tamarisk through Horses4Homes. Rebecca has been absolutely fantastic at keeping us informed at all times and offering advice along the way. It is a wonderful organisation and a really brilliant idea! We give our heartfelt thanks to Rebecca for all her help which was much appreciated by both myself and my parents.
