Head of Vet School, Professor Jo Price, Leads Horses4Homes as Chair of the Trustees

price-joannaProfessor Jo Price, Head of Bristol University Vet School, has been elected as the new Chairperson for the horse rehoming charity, Horses4Homes. Jo, a keen horsewoman, rehomed her ex-event horse Hobo through the charity in the Spring.  The accomplished vet was so impressed with how effectively the system and support staff helped her to find a suitable new home for her horse, that she was delighted to accept the invitation to Chair and lead the charity’s board of Trustees.
“Horses4Homes may be a relatively small charity in terms of income and staff, but in terms of tackling a very real welfare issue, that of rehoming horses, it punches above its weight and its growth over the past 12 months has been exponential. I feel privileged to be in the driving seat of such a unique organisation supported by a talented new board of trustees who are all equally committed to sustaining the charity’s long-term future.”
