Using Horses4Homes to meet your perfect partner!
Horses4Homes specialises in matching up people and horses online, to help with successful rehoming, loaning and sharing of horses. Applicants (people wishing to re-home, loan or share a horse) and owners can connect through the Horses4Homes site and proceed from initial contact through to drawing up bespoke rehoming, loaning or sharing agreements with our support.
To enable us to offer these specialist services
the following donation fees apply:
Fees for applicants and owners
Owners/listings
- It is £20 to list a horse. Your listing will stay on our website and thriving platforms and continuously shared until we have found your horses next forever home, loan, sharer. No other payment is required. You will be contacted each month to make sure you want to keep your listing active. If you do not respond, we will take listings down to ensure people of interest/applicants are not left disheartened.
Applicants
- Small application fee to be paid to apply for a horse, your application will be sent to the owner who will get in contact with you. Reasons for application fees:( Application fees go towards admin fees, running cost, service and system.)
- £50 to be paid by an applicant when a re-home, loan or share arrangement is successfully agreed. This fee goes towards the contract that is provided when an agreement has been made to secure horses future, making sure they don’t get passed around, sold or neglected.
- Rehoming final donations to be made upon agreement of the rehome. Final donations goes towards our service/system to help us continue our mission. Final donation amount is chosen by the owner, to however much the owner wants to be donated to Horses4homes when their horse is rehomed.
- Loaning/Share final donations: We ask for a final donation of at least £50-£100 towards our service/system and future work. ( Further information below )
Further information
- Horses that go through our service/system are logged into our database upon completion of the contract and final donations.
- We stay in contact with new owner/loaner/sharer. To ensure horses are settling in their new home.
- We make contact every few months for updates to share updates with our community. ( We only share updates if we get permission.)
Listings just for advertisement purposes only and no further services.
We want everyone who comes to us to use our full services, however, we do accept any listing and if you do not wish to use our full services, by not going forward with the contract and final donation that go towards our services and system, that is completely fine, however, please note that our mission is to find horses their forever homes in the safest way possible, by providing a safe secure service and system and providing contracts that secure your horses future, making sure they don’t get passed around, sold and neglected. Our services help create a safe environment for all horses and owners and we want to try cater for everyone.
- If you list a horse and do not wish to go further with our services/system, your horse will not be logged into our database or system. As the contract is to secure your horses future and final donations go towards our service, system, admin and future work we do to ensure horses are happy in their new home.
- If you wish to just list a horse and do not wish to go further with our services, your listing will still be treated the same as any other listing. Your listing will stay on our website and thriving platforms and continuously shared until we have found your horses next forever home, loan, sharer. No other payment is required. You will be contacted each month to make sure you want to keep your listing active. If you do not respond, we will take listings down to ensure people of interest/applicants are not left disheartened.

Whether you are looking to home a horse or list your horse, you need to Register. This will create an account for you. Before applying for a horse ‘Add an application form’ this will save to your account ready to apply. In your account ‘dashboard’ you can keep track of which horses you have applied for, your saved application form, your listings and notifications. If you haven’t registered yet you can still search through our available horses.
Once you have registered you can add your horse advert.
To list a horse – go to ‘my account’ then ‘add listing’.
You can manage everything from your account inc. your listings, applications and applicants.
You can find this in the ‘dashboard’.
Before you can apply for a horse, you must first purchase the ability to apply for your chosen companion. To do so, when you find a suitable horse scroll to the bottom of the horse’s details, where you will see an ‘apply for horse’ button.
This will show the option to purchase the ‘apply package’ once selected this will lead you to the checkout page.
To checkout, fill in the form and choose your payment method. Once your payment is completed, you will be redirected back to your order summary where there will be a notice to take you back to the horse listing.
If your application is successful, you will receive an email containing a contract. You will need to fill in the agreement and send to us. We can make any necessary checks as required. You will become the new owner of the horse.
