Description
13yrs 14.1hh bay roan Welsh Sec C mare
Sweet, sensitive mare in need of new home due to change in herd dynamics. She is a well to do mare who lives out with shelter or rugs, has great feet (trims only) and has enjoyed jumping and bitless rides when out on loan.
She did get injured and go lame with longer term slight lameness when in full work so more suited to happy hacker and companion home. She rides out alone or in company but does take confidence from other horses.
She has lots of energy and does prefer living out as part of a herd, but is good to handle, rug, trim, groom etc and settles with a routine.
My circumstances have changed and unfortunately I need to find Maggie a new home. I’m left with 3 older ponies and Maggie is unsettled and becoming more dominant which is causing them injuries and means she can’t join the communal barn stabling.
Home must have other ponies as permanent companions. Long term home with view to buy or trial considered. A good home is much more important than price. Comes with some tack and rugs.
Problems
See description above. Maggie is not in work and not for novices but the previous loaner got on great when bringing her back into work with no problems apart from her being hard to catch when she doesn’t know you.
Health Issues
Vaccinations up to date, possible slight lameness if trotted on roads but still gallops round the field and jumps through choice.
Ideal Home
Other horses essential, kind and patient, light hacking ideally but could do more.
