Jonesy is a 16hh TB X bay gelding

He is 16yo and I have owned him since a 5yo.

with me has done unaffiliated eventing up to 100cm, sj, xc, dressage, riding club, beach rides , fun rides, hunting with the bloodhounds, horse agility , he’s been there done that and got r t shirt but sadly now needs to slow down and would suit a light hacking home or a companion home. He is very easy to load/shoe/lead/vet/clip etc up to date with feet and worming . Good doer, very kind and gentle , has the odd small spook out hacking but very sensible really. He’s been out of work for a good year and a half now , but I have sat on him recently and hacked straight out onto busy road he was good as gold but I will not give him to a nervous or novice rider. He has a weight limit if 11 and a half stone as he is only 16hh

Problems

Not ridden problems , intermediate or experienced rider required. Temperament is very kind and quiet , responsive. weight limit 11.5 stone he will come with a dressage saddle , girth, stirrups, saddle pad, bridle and bit and reins, 3 turnout rugs, 2 stable rugs, 1 fleece prestige jump saddle available at extra cost but obv he cannot be jumped anymore

Health Issues

Arthritis in knees (diagnosed age 9, went on to event at 100 for years after) mild asthma (no meds just coughs on dry hay ) Injury to right fore 2 years ago hence the time off and reason for him being for loan as he can no longer jump/fast work etc

Ideal Home

Ideally he would be out 24/7 in summer and either out 24/7 in winter or in at night in winter out in the day. He has love grade arthritis in his knees and mild asthma so wet hay if fed hay in the stable (manages ok on dry hay in field)
