Adopting Tubs was one of the best decisions I ever made.  In the 6 months I’ve had him he has exceeded my expectations and proved to be a super pony.
His previous owners had experienced issues with bucking in canter so we had only ever intended him as a light hack.  However his fantastic temperament and behaviour led me to feel that he wouldn’t be any different in canter, so after a few months I tried him to see what happened. He was fine and has continued to be ever since.  We recently completed a 10 mile Endurance GB training ride with lots of cantering through fields and woods and we both loved every minute of it.  I was so proud of him and can’t wait to do our next Endurance Ride in May.
Tubs is a pony that I would have possibly overlooked had I not had the chance to really find out about him and his history through Horses 4 Homes.  The adoption process enabled me to have so much information before hand and really understand the animal I was committing to.  I am so grateful that his owners thought to put him up for adoption rather than sell him as just another ‘project pony’ as I dread to think where he could have ended up.
He has definitely found a lifetime of love and his forever home with us. Thank you H4H.
