Horses4Homes Smashes 2012 Rehoming Figures Already in March

Horses4Homes is going from strength to strength with its rehoming programme.  Since its launch in 2012 it has helped over 300 horses find new homes, with some 50 plus horses being listed on the site each month and more than 100 people registering with the site each month to find a horse.   The popularity of the site is growing at a rapid rate and the feedback from users far surpasses that expected by the team.
Rebecca Evans, Rehoming Manager of the organisation said “Having worked in the equine charity sector for well over a decade it was very evident to me that the need for an effective system to match owners with new owners and loanees has been a long time coming.  Our UK Sanctuaries are at saturation point so it is vital that owners who are struggling are provided with an effective tool to help them secure suitable homes for their much loved horses. The number of successful rehomes found through Horses4Homes this year alone is far better than anticipated and we have already smashed our figures from last year.  I would certainly recommend anyone considering purchasing a horse in 2013 to browse our horses first as they may be able to pick up a bargain and have that super feeling you get when helping out a fellow horse owner and helping a horse whose future, if a home cannot be found, may be very bleak indeed.
Sarah Harrison from Scotland listed Rockstar on the site and had this to say about her experience of using the rehoming service offered by Horses4Homes,
After only two weeks on the Horses4homes site my precious horse has left to start his life in a wonderful new home in England. I truly believe that without this site I would be looking for a home for him forever because I just wouldn’t want to embark on it. To loan out your pride and joy is not easy but Rebecca’s site gave me the confidence to do it. It’s a minefield finding the correct home but this took the scary bits out. The application form and donation is a genius idea. Its like a dating site as you can just “reject” unsuitables!!!!! . When I met Lisa I knew she and Rocky were the correct match. So that’s him away now. Although I’m left feeling so sad I am 110% happy with his new carer and I wish them a great time together forever. Thanks too Rebecca. I’m so glad I know about your brilliant and professional website. Love Sarah Harrison.
