Description

Having to sadly rehome my lovely boy, Quinn. Looking for a companion home.

Quinn is a 13 year old Thoroughbred (ex-racer) who is the sweetest and friendliest horse who loves people. First to greet you in the field and follows you around like a big dog.  He would stand all day to be groomed, cuddled and fussed. Very mannerly and easy to do (catch, bath, farrier, clip, load etc).

Lives in and out – although does like a stable/shelter in bad weather. Winters well out with appropriate rugging, forage and feed. Lives in a mixed herd and has been in smaller and bigger herds and fine with both. He’s non dominant so gets on with everyone.

Brilliant around children, dogs etc. The type of horse that will let you lie down and cuddle him in the field.

He has an old racing injury which means he needs to go to a companion home. Does not require any ongoing treatment. He does crib bite, but can be managed.

Up to date on everything except vaccinations which can be re-started.

Problems

He can get quite anxious if on his own, so does need to go to a home with company.

Health Issues

Old racing injury (details can be provided), but does not require ongoing treatment. Up to date on everything except vaccinations which can be re-started. He has regular physio to keep him feeling good so would like him to continue to have this, if possible. Barefoot

Ideal Home

Quinn would thrive in a home with another horse/horses as he loves company. He's very easy to do and mannerly, but he is an ex-racer. Lots of turnout throughout the year, but it would be good if he has a stable or shelter for really bad weather. He has wintered out the last two winters fine. A home where he will be loved and fussed over.
