Description

I’ve owned jonesy since he was 5yo and he is 16years old now so I know him inside out and back to front. With me he has evented up to 100, riding club, fun rides , stay always, sj, dr, beach etc. he is tb x , 16hh bay gelding.

he would suit a happy hacker or companion home as he is not as sound as he used to be . Currently in his winter Woollies and barefoot, he has previously evented both bf and shod so could be shod or booted for hacking depending on the footing.
he is a pretty chill guy but would not suit a novice or nervous or someone straight out of riding school.
I am desperately short on time as I have another on loan, and a pony for my child plus dogs cats etc and I just don’t have the time to give him , would love for him to be loved again, he loves a groom and fuss  and will groom u back . He is currently in no work at all , turned away so will need brining back into work but he was sat on a number of times over the summer and was a very well behaved boy so wouldn’t take him long to remember his job

Problems

Weight limit 12stone kind temperament, willing to please, had the odd spook occasionally but nothing nasty. V good in all traffic . Hacks alone and in company would not suit nervous or novice

Health Issues

Flu and tet are up to date mild asthma - wet his haynet . No meds etc  arthritic knees- diagnosed age 9 , went on to event for years after so does not cause a problem . Not been injected since age 9 had psd op also age 9- neurectomy and fasciotomy, again does not affect him in any way .

Ideal Home

Ideally he would go as a happy hack or companion, he can’t handle a lot of spring grass so depending on the yard might need restricted grazing over the spring months. He has very mild asthma so if being fed hay in the stable it needs damping down. He is fine with dry hay out on the field
