Description

Simon is a 15.2hh 16 year old gelding, looking for a home as a companion only.

He cannot be ridden due to his behaviour under saddle.

He is a loving, huge personality and loves scratches. He is kept with 3 other geldings currently and does tend to be dominant over some horses but not all. He has EMS which is managed by restricted grazing only. He is turned out 24/7 but can be stabled happily.

He is good on the ground, although does get anxious in new situations. He has his feet trimmed every 6 weeks, mostly good for farrier but can pull his feet away. Great with dentist.

Simon loads and travels well.

He can ignore personal space when in the field but is generally great.

Fed on allen and page veteran light.

Looking for a loving home where he can either be left to his own devices with the essential care, or be pampered and cuddled! Company is essential for him.

Problems

Non ridden. Suit a fairly experienced handler and not a complete novice. Supplied with turnout rugs snd headcollar.

Health Issues

Up to date with tetanus (flu was stopped as Simon was under the weather afterwards and we don't go anywhere). Up to date with teeth, worming, farrier. Health issue: EMS. Had laminitis a few years sgo but hasn't happened again.

Ideal Home

A loving home with company for Simon is required. Knowledge of restricted grazing is preferred, even if you just do your research beforehand. Would need a fairly experienced handler and not a complete novice.
