Description

Extremely sad rehoming of Splash 21 yrs old who has been with me for 16 years, but due to starting a family and financial challenges this has forced the decision. Splash is a loveable cheeky Welsh X that would best suit a confident handler and someone willing to spend time building a bond with her. Currently not ridden so would suit as a companion but also no reason why she couldn’t be brought back into light work for some hacking by the right person which she enjoys once she is settled with a hacking buddy.

Problems

Splash can be spirited at times, she will not hack alone and can be nappy unless she builds up confidence to hack out with friend, due to this no novice home. Temperament on the ground she can be sometimes spooky to lead out but other days perfectly calm and she'll stand for hours of cuddles/grooming. Has tack and rugs.

Health Issues

All vaccinations/worming up to date. Had laminitis around 9 years ago but no further flare ups since. Advised by farrier to keep on the front shoes.  Tore tendon in hind leg around 10 years ago so riding was restricted to light hacking only from that point. Otherwise currently in good health.

Ideal Home

Fairly small yard would suit Splash best as she is more settled in quieter surroundings. Currently stabled during winter, lives out in the summer. She has never lived out in the winter but might be ok living out with company if there is shelter and plenty of hay as she's not a massive fan of being stabled anyway. Currently turned out individually in a paddock, but she would love some friends so does not need to stay on individual turnout. I'd like to find a loving home where she can live out her days with companions and a kind handler.
