A Home is Chosen for Jack
Jack, a 17 hand Warmblood gelding was listed with us on 3rd February this year and yesterday went to his new home. Sadly Jack’s downfall, which limits the type of work he can undertake, is his breathing condition. He has had what is called a tieback operation and his breathing will never be that of a normal healthy horse but he was given the all clear for a hacking home. Despite his condition Jack created a great deal of interest. His handsome looks, gentlemanly manners and well schooled education resulted in a great many applicants coming forward.
His owner, Tina, spent many hours trawling through all the considered answers given by the applicants on their respective forms and it is these answers which helped Tina to decide who to invite to come and try out her boy. As there were so many applicants it was not possible to invite everyone but the quality of the applications put forward were exceptional. Many people had over 20 years experience riding and owning horses, many worked in the profession and a select few even owned their own land so were able to offer Jack that “forever home” that Tina was looking for irrespective of whether later on Jack became unrideable for any reason at all.
Jack has gone to his new home with Sally Dyson. Sally is a qualified Mc Timoney Chiropractor as well as a Fellow of the College of Chiropractors. Much to the delight of Tina Sally can offer Jack the experienced “Forever home” she was looking for and she rode him confidently and beautifully when she came to try him. Tina checked out the references supplied for Sally and visited both her yards which confirmed her decision. Horses4Homes wishes both Jack and Sally all the very best for the future and is very glad we could help Tina to find the home she sought for Jack.
Horses4Homes and Tina would like to thank everyone who took the time to apply for Jack and for the £10 donation they paid to Horses4Homes when they submitted their applications. For those of you who were not successful please do not deter from applying again for any further horses as your applications were all of a very good quality and although the competition for Jack was tough this is not the case for all our horses.
